Maternity Links

There's plenty of other maternity folks out there on the 'net.  Here are just a few:

• A Pea In The Pod. Part of the Maternity Monopoly that includes Mimi Maternity and Motherhood Maternity   They're not cheap, but they are the biggest.

• Babybecoming   A great site devoted to the plus-sized mom-to-be.  Or as they say, "Clothing For The Big, Beautiful, Pregnant & Nursing."

• Babystyle. Celeb central. 

• Bodywise Wonderful website with beautiful bras and panties for nursing and pregnant moms, a customer just *had* to send us a link and we're so grateful.

• Fit Maternity and Beyond is the only catalog that we know of devoted solely to fitness for the soon-to-be mom.

• The Gap  A small selection of maternity clothing from the ubiquitous retailers to America. Safe, classic stuff, y'know, the GAP.

• Japanese Weekend. We carry a lot of their stuff,  but they also have their own cool site

• Moms Night Out. Formalwear for women in the throes of Braxton-Hicks contractions. Imagine!

• Liz Lange. If you wear Armani and his ilk now, you'll appreciate the lines and quality of Liz's collection.

My advice for those in the trenches of maternity fashion dilemmas? Read Vicki Iovine's Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy. The section on what to wear is really a lifesaver. Go to resale stores -- more are springing up every day that cater to kids, and often have maternity clothes areas. And don't try to hide your pregnancy. You'll just look large. Celebrate your tummy!
