When people call me and tell me that they have a revolutionary new product that's just perfect for One Hot Mama, I almost always know that they're wrong. It's not so much that I've seen everything out there (although I almost have) but that I won't sell anything that doesn't work for me. If I didn't use it or wear it, we don't sell it.
So this lovely hot mama who manufactures it, Holly, came to see me with her babies in tow. I tried it on (by wrapping it around myself in front and back and then looping the end through a ring on the hip) and she passed over her very sturdily-built son.
Oh. My. Gosh. It was awesome! I could barely feel his weight, and he didn't look all stiff and marionette-like like babies in Baby Bjorns (which are $79.95, by the way). Just like the Over the Shoulder Baby Holder Slings, you can position the baby on either hip, in the front, or in the back, or lying to the side to nurse.
For people who need a little more support, or for those of us who want to wear our babies while wearing a coat, the Ultimate Baby Wrap is the answer. Now I have both the OTSBH and the UBW (love those acronyms) and I use them interchangeably. The sling is faster in the on- off- department, but for traveling, or walking around the City all day in the winter, you cannot beat the Wrap.
The best part is that each wrap comes in its own drawstring pouch. There's also a fabric pocket on the front of the wrap for your credit card and a diaper for those days you want to travel really light. Plus there's an easy-to-watch instructional video in every package. Wait, that's THREE best things. Cool.
