Perfect's a pretty strong word. And to use it without regard inspires, well, mistrust. You guys know that I tell the truth, and I take that responsibility seriously. So Ill say it again. These black, slightly flared pants are absolutely perfect!

First, the cut dips in front, so whether you have a slight early-pregnancy pooch, a full-on melon belly near your due date, or you still cant fit into your “normal” pants (you are not alone…I wore my favourite maternity jeans for six months with my daughter), the pants fit and look hot.

Second, the fabric, (oh, how I wish I could email fabric samples!) is so comfy and cute and versatile. Why? Well, its a velvety micro, micro-fleece, so it bears no resemblance to workout clothes. It doesn't pill or fade, just remains that great-looking deep black. And theres enough stretch in it to accommodate your size fluctuations with aplomb. Wear it to yoga, or wear it to work. Machine wash it, and wear it again.

Now, the only bad thing about these pants. Made by an awesome non-maternity designer in trendy San Francisco, the sizing is not for the faint of heart. Even I, a small person by most standards, think calling a size 4 a medium is pretty laughable. So here's my advice: cut out the label. Because like a really good man, good pants are hard to find. And perfect pants are just miraculous.
